The Governors are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant Level 3.
We are looking for a positive, enthusiastic Teaching Assistants either with experience of working in a Special School or eager to learn and develop their skills.The post holders will support teaching and learning across the school, providing general support to pupils and management of resources, as directed by teachers and senior staff. The successful applicant must be able to work effectively with the whole school community including pupils, parents, governors and staff.
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:
- Enthusiasm and commitment to developing inclusive practice
- To work with groups of children under the supervision of the teacher/therapists/medical staff including the delivery of therapy and programmes of work and the implementation of IEPs
- Use specialist (curricular learning) skills/training/experience to support pupils
Lancasterian School is a special school for pupils with a range of learning disability and other associated needs e.g physical disability, complex medical needs, sensory impairments, ASD, complex speech and language difficulties requiring augmentative and alternative communication (AAC).
There are currently 115 pupils that attend from EYFS to 16 years.
