Whether you are currently in training, interested in a career working with children/younger learners or looking to build up your CV before applying for positions, volunteering can be a great way of gaining valuable school based experience.
Schools across the city very much appreciate the work that volunteers do whether it be before or after school or during the summer holidays. If volunteering interests you, then why not write to your local school(s) to enquire about availability.
Additionally the UK government have provided information on their GOV.UK website for those who are looking to gain some school experience in addition to advice and guidance relating to volunteering in general and how to get involved
Alternatively, there are a number of external organisations who can provide advice and guidance to volunteers seeking to find positions. We have provided links to these organisations below.

Any position that becomes available will be subject to enhanced DBS checks, satisfactory references and will be exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 unless otherwise stated.
