Green End Primary School SEN Teaching Assistant - Level 1

Green End Primary wishes to appoint a highly motivated, dynamic and talented teaching assistant to work 1:1 with a KS2 child and with small groups of children to support learning. This is a 1-year temporary contract starting in April 2019.

Job details

The successful candidate will have experience of working in a school setting with pupils with Special Educational Needs. They will be a strong communicator who is a nurturing, patient and positive individual. They will be strong at building relationships with pupils, staff and parents. A very strong commitment to raising aspiration and attainment in an urban setting is essential.

Strong literacy skills are essential and successful completion of tests in these areas is part of the interview process.

Level 1, Grade 2 £17,711 pro rata, 20 hours per week, term time only equates to apx £8,675 per annum.

Hours:9.15am until 2.15pm with an hour lunch at 12.15pm.

This position is subject to 2 professional references and DBS clearance.

Green End Primary is part of the Kingsway Community Trust a Multi Academy Trust, which is also made up of Ladybarn Primary School andCringle Brook Primary School. This provides the staff and children of both schools with enhanced development and networking opportunities.

The Trust is led and managed by one Executive Headteacher, who is a National Leader of Education and one Governing Body, whose Chair is a National Leader of Governance. In each school there is a full time Head of School who lead and manage alongside the Executive Headteacher.
