Chorlton High School Teaching Assistant - Level 1

The Trustees of the Prospere Learning Trust would like to invite applications to the post of Teaching Assistant Level 1 at Chorlton High School. This position is Temporary, Part Time working 30 Hours Per Week, Term Time Only plus 5 Inset Days.

Job details

The main purpose of the job will be to support access to learning and provide general support for the school in the management of pupils and resources.

The ideal candidate will have good numeracy and literacy skills and have experience of working with or caring for children of a relevant age. Ideally you will have an understanding of the role of a Teaching Assistant and other professionals working in a classroom.

Springboard into any career by gaining experience and developing skills: in working closely with others, organisation, communication and creativity whilst making a difference to the lives of young people in Manchester.

In The Classroom:

  • Support students
  • Work with teachers to deliver parts of lessons
  • Develop students literacy and numeracy skills
  • Support students confidence and effort

Supporting The Access And Achievement Team:

  • Design and develop resources
  • Help with examination administration
  • Support all subject areas in delivering the best outcomes

Whole School:

  • Receive Professional Development
  • Participate in Extended Learning Experiences on and off site
  • Support the day to day life of a vibrant, innovative and high performing school
