Prospere Learning Trust is delighted to be opening a new Primary Special School from September 2020. Initially, the base for the school will be Grange School, Manchester moving into a purpose built site from 2021 in Blackley, north Manchester.

We are seeking to appoint an experienced teacher with a proven track record of outstanding teaching and learning for children aged 3-11 years, who have a range of special educational needs. This position offers an exciting and challenging opportunity to join a new team. We are a happy, lively school where staff & pupils enjoy learning and achieving together.

Role Purpose

Candidates will possess the ability to share their practice, work with a positive and optimistic outlook and drive forward improvements. We welcome applications from experienced/Newly Qualified Teachers who have experience in Special Educational Needs (SEN) or mainstream schools who have the capacity to develop their skills quickly. The successful candidate will be a team player who will work well with school leaders, teachers and teaching assistants to develop the highest standard of pedagogy within the classroom.

The successful candidate will:

  • have experience of teaching pupils with special educational needs and disabilities,
  • have a proven track record of outstanding teaching with evidence of impact,
  • have the skills to lead a team in the classroom,
  • have the ability to think critically, creatively and be decisive,
  • be enthusiastic, evaluative, reflective and inspirational, with the ability to motivate others to take on new challenges that will enhance the learning opportunities that we offer
  • have excellent communication skills
  • have an interest in teaching a range of subjects as the timetable requires
  • be able to contribute fully to the life of the school

About us
