The Governors wish to appoint an experienced, dynamic and highly motivated Business Manager to support the smooth running of our school. This is an exciting opportunity to lead our school in all aspects of finance, site & facilities, ICT and Health and Safety management. It is a highly rewarding and demanding role.

The school business manager is responsible for managing the strategy and operation of the business functions of our school, including financial management, health & safety, human resources, compliance and administration. They will advise on and implement the day to day support that enables the school to operate effectively and efficiently, and that allows other members of the leadership team to focus on teaching and learning.

The successful candidate should have the drive and passion to contribute to the strategic thinking, vision, continuous development and improvement of our school. Experience of working as a school business manager is desirable and you will be working closely with the Headteacher, Senior Leadership Team and Governing Body.

The candidate should have excellent understanding of financial management systems and experience in managing significant budgets. Knowledge of managing business processes including health and safety, procurement and premises management is important.

You will have:

  • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication at all levels
  • A willingness to be involved in the wider life of the school
  • The ability to work on your own initiative with complete confidentiality is essential
