Job details

We are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant Level 2 at St Luke's Primary School.

The successful applicant will be class based to support the inclusion of all children in mainstream classrooms.

The successful candidate must be solution focussed and be able to work independently and equally as well as part of a team.

You should have:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills which allows you to support children
  • Excellent communication (oral and written)
  • Numeracy skills
  • Organisation, timekeeping and reliability
  • Previous experience of working in an educational establishment within Key Stage 1
  • Excellent literacy, numeracy and IT skills
  • Experience of supporting children with differing needs within Key Stage1 and working alongside a class teacher to ensure the children's individual needs are met

St Luke's is a large inner-city school with 459 pupils on roll. It is a 2 form entry school with a 65 place Nursery.

Attainment is a high priority with a dedicated team of teachers and support staff who provide personalised learning programmes to enable each individual child to reach their full potential.
