St Luke's are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant on a fixed term basis until 31 August 2022. The role is full time, 35 hours per week Monday to Friday08:30 to16:30, Term Time Only.
The successful candidate must have previous experience of working in an educational establishment within Key Stage 2 (KS2) and have excellent literacy, numeracy and IT skills and some experience of the teaching of phonics.
The candidate must have experience of supporting children with differing needs within KS2 and working alongside a class teacher to ensure the children's individual needs are met.
The successful applicant will be class based to support the inclusion of all children in mainstream classrooms. Excellent communication (oral and written) and numeracy skills are essential to the post.
The successful candidate must be solution focused and be able to work independently and equally as well as part of a team. They require excellent interpersonal and communication skills which allows them to support children to engage in positive learning.
Organisation, timekeeping and reliability are an essential criteria for the role.
St Luke's is a large inner city school with 465 pupils on roll. It is a 2 form entry school with a 65 place Nursery.
