Our Deputy Headteacher is retiring and the Governors of Park View are seeking to appoint a dedicated and inspirational deputy who will play a key role in ensuring the best possible outcomes for the children of Park View.

We are looking for someone with experience of leadership in the primary sector with a commitment to inclusive education and a passion for impacting positively on children's lives.

The successful candidate should:

  • Have a firm and clear understanding of the complexities and challenges presented in inner city schools, especially in the shadow of the global pandemic
  • See the 'bigger picture' from a strategic and organisational viewpoint ensuring that the 'day to day' operates smoothly and that the strategic vision for moving the school forward does not lose momentum
  • Hold staff to account in a supportive and developmental way across all phases with the aim to ensure that all children receive the best quality education possible
  • Effectively support the Senior Leadership Team in continuing to move the school forward by drawing on existing good practice and current research
  • Be committed to promoting fully inclusive practice across all areas of the curriculum and all phases within the school
  • Be confident in their own ability to deputise for the headteacher when the need arises

Located close to the city centre, Park View is a vibrant, friendly school, serving a diverse community in an area of Manchester which is undergoing change and development.

The community we serve is culturally and linguistically diverse and the children enthusiastic and keen to learn.
