St Margaret's CE Primary is looking to appoint an aspirational, highly motivated and experienced School Business Manager.

We are a relatively new senior leadership team and are looking for a candidate that is a team player, has the knowledge, skills and experience and would welcome the opportunity to shape the business and administrative functions of the school as it moves forward.

The successful candidates will be expected to demonstrate:

  • Excellent financial management skills
  • High level organisational skills
  • Leadership styles, that will inspire, motivate, and support staff
  • They can lead and manage change
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication skills

The post will be permanent, full time and the hours may be annualised.

St Margaret's CE primary Schoolis located in central Manchester and is a larger than average three form entry primary school with over 650 pupils on role.

The school community is rich and diverse with forty different languages spoken and nearly forty different ethnic groups among the pupil intake. 80% of the pupils have English as an additional language and 93% of pupils come from ethnic minority backgrounds.

There are above average levels of pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities and the deprivation indicator for the pupil base is in the highest quintile for deprivation.

St Margaret's CE Primary School is a 'good' school (Ofsted, Jan 2018) that aspires to a judgement of 'outstanding'. We are looking to appoint a School Business Manager with the drive and expertise to become part of our team to help us to achieve that goal.
