The Governors are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated teaching assistant, who can inspire pupils to reach their potential in Key Stage 1.

The successful candidate needs to be confident working within a Key Stage 1 team, preferably be trained in teaching of phonics and have experience of leading small group interventions and be prepared to contribute to the life of the whole school.

The role would suite either an experienced teaching assistant or a graduate considering a career in teaching or wanting further experience before taking on a newly qualified teacher role.

We are looking for a candidate who is:

  • Able to show evidence of a good understanding of teaching and learning and be a highly effective teaching assistant
  • Able to set the highest standards for themselves and pupil
  • Committed to their own personal & professional development
  • Able to demonstrate evidence of a high level of commitment to the needs of all pupils and supports the inclusive ethos of the school and believes that every child should have the opportunity to fulfil their potential
  • Able to demonstrate subject knowledge in Key Stage 1
  • Organised
  • Able to communicate effectively with staff, parents and pupils
  • Trained in synthetic phonics, prefereably Little Wandle
  • Able to work effectively within a team
