The Governors are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated teaching assistant, who can inspire pupils to reach their potential, supporting pupils within our Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) provision.

The successful candidate needs to be confident working within an SEMH provision and be prepared to contribute to the life of the whole school. The role would suite a teaching assistant with experience of working with pupils with SEMH needs.

We are looking for a candidate who is:

  • Able to show evidence of a good understanding of teaching and learning and be a highly effective teaching assistant
  • Able to set the highest standards for themselves and pupils
  • Committed to their own personal & professional development
  • Able to demonstrate evidence of a high level of commitment to the needs of all pupils and supports the inclusive ethos of the school and believes that every child should have the opportunity to fulfil their potential
  • Able to demonstrate strong subject knowledge and good use of IT to support learning
  • Organised
  • Able to communicate effectively with staff, parents and pupils
  • Preferably Team Teach trained
  • Able to work effectively within a team
